After a great deal of research, we are surprised to know that in the whole world in the book written about the Taj Mahal, not a single book was found which is corroborative and in which the Taj Mahal has a detailed description of the originality and the then evidences were cited. Ho. Because the perception of one author is the same as that of the other. Therefore mere legends are of no importance for historical research.

Why and how can universities and research institutes around the world ignore the fascinating and fascinating theme of the Taj Mahal? यह पुस्तक और इसकी पूर्ववर्ती पुस्तक 'ताजमहल राजपूत प्रासाद था, जो कि अनुसन्धान कार्य हैं, के अतिरिक्त अन्य सभी पुस्तकें जो ताजमहल के सम्बन्ध में विगत ३०० वर्ष की अवधि में लिखी गई हैं सब कपोल-कल्पना पर आधारित हैं। बड़े गहन शोध के उपरान्त हमें यह जानकर आश्चर्य होता है कि ताजमहल के विषय में रचे गए इन्द्रजाल में सारे संसार में एक भी ऐसी पुस्तक नहीं मिली जो पुष्ट-प्रमाणयुक्त हो और जिसमें ताजमहल को मौलिकता का विस्तृत विवरण हो तथा तत्कालीन प्रमाणों को उद्धृत किया गया हो। क्योंकि किसी एक लेखक की धारणा उतनी ही है जितनी कि दूसरे की। इसलिए मात्र किंवदन्तियाँ ऐतिहासिक अनुसन्धान के लिए महत्त्वहीन हैं।
ताजमहल विश्व प्रसिद्ध होने पर भी उसके विषय में तदनुरूप सन्देहरहित और अधिकृत विवरण का अभाव वास्तव में आश्चर्यजनक है। संसार भर के विश्वविद्यालय और शोध संस्थान ताजमहल-सदृश मोहक और आकर्षक विषय की क्यों और कैसे उपेक्षा कर सके हैं? क्यों ताजमहल के सम्बन्ध में उसकी मौलिकता, निर्माणकाल, निर्माण में व्यय, धन का स्रोत, निर्माता और शिल्पी, मुमताज के उसमें दफनाए जाने की तिथि और भी इसी प्रकार के अन्य अनेक विवरण सारे वैसे ही अस्पष्ट, भ्रामक, विवादास्पद और वास्तविकता-रहित क्यों हैं ?
कदाचित् आज तक कोई भी अनुसन्धानकर्ता ताजमहल के वृत्तान्त को तदनुरूप आधिकारिक रूप से प्रस्तुत करने में सफल नहीं हो सका। जिस किसी ने भी इस विषय पर शोध करने का प्रयास किया, वह अव्यवस्थित और परस्पर विरोधी सामग्रियों के विस्मय में फँसकर यह समझने लगा कि वह भी उसी पुरानी अलिफ लैला की कहानी की पुनरावृत्ति करने लगा है।
