Gheerdhevathethi garuda dwaja sundarithi,
Sakambhareethi sasi shekara vallebhethi,

Thasyai namas thribhvanai ka guros tharunyai.

Sruthyai namosthu shubha karma phala prasoothyai,
Rathyai namosthu ramaneeya gunarnavayai,
Shakthyai namosthu satha pathra nikethanayai,
Pushtayi namosthu purushotthama vallabhayai.

Namosthu naleekha nibhananai,
Namosthu dhugdhogdhadhi janma bhoomayai,
Namosthu somamrutha sodharayai,
Namosthu narayana vallabhayai.

Namosthu hemambhuja peetikayai,
Namosthu bhoo mandala nayikayai,

Sevakasya sakalartha sapadha,
Santhanodhi vachananga manasai,
Twaam murari hridayeswareem bhaje

Sarasija nilaye saroja hasthe,
Dhavalathamamsuka gandha maya shobhe,
Bhagavathi hari vallabhe manogne,

Kamale Kamalaksha vallabhe twam,
Karuna poora tharingithaira pangai,

Brahmacharya is a great wealth. Brahmacharya is the destroyer of spiritual light. It is the power of Brahmacharya that transforms man into divinity. Brahmacharya awakens the heart-Padma, thereby spreading the glory of divine qualities like compassion, kindness, patience, strength, valor, tolerance, purity, non-violence, fearlessness, etc.

It is not easy to get experienced and practical details and teachings on Brahmacharya-Sadhana. Due to a lack of empirical books on this subject, the youth are not able to walk on the path of celibacy. This book will fulfill this huge influence on the Hindi world.

This is a simple translation of "Practice of Brahmacharya" written by Shri Swami Shivanand Ji Maharaj. For the benefit of the seekers, the second chapter has also been attached to this book, in which there are also compilations of Swami Shivanand Ji Maharaj's articles related to celibacy. This book is a boon for the students. Men or women, young men and old householders or sannyasins can all benefit greatly from it.

ब्रह्मचर्य - साधना ही श्राध्यात्मिक साधना की मूल भित्ति है। शरीर, इन्द्रिय तथा मन की शुद्धता के बिना मनुष्य ब्रह्म-साक्षात्कार प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता । ब्रह्मचर्य साधना सारी भौतिक तथा आध्यात्मिक संपत्तियों की एकमेव कुरूंजी है। मनुष्य जीवन में अन्य कोई भी विषय इतना महत्व नहीं रखता जितना कि ब्रह्मचर्य । ब्रह्मचर्य महान् तप है । ब्रह्मचर्य महान् धन है । ब्रह्मचर्य श्रात्मिक ज्योति का विभासक है । ब्रह्म चर्य की शक्ति ही मनुष्य को देवत्व में परिणत कर डालती है । ब्रह्मचर्य हृदय-पद्म को प्रस्फुटित करता है जिससे करुणा, दया, धैर्य, शक्ति, शौर्य, सहनशीलता, शुद्धता, अहिंसा, अभय आदि दिव्य गुणों की मुरभि प्रसारित होती है ।

ब्रह्मचर्य - साधना के ऊपर अनुभवी एवं व्यावहारिक विवरण एवं उपदेशों को प्राप्त करना श्रासान नहीं है । इस विषय पर अनुभव सिद्ध पुस्तकों की कमी के कारण युवक गण ब्रह्मचर्य - पथ पर चलने में समर्थ नहीं हो पाते। यह पुस्तक हिंदी जगत के इस भारी प्रभाव की पूर्ति करेगी।

पुरुष और प्रकृति — ये दो हैं। इनमेंसे पुरुषमें कभी परिवर्तन नहीं होता और प्रकृति कभी परिवर्तनरहित नहीं होती । जब यह पुरुष प्रकृतिके साथ सम्बन्ध जोड़ लेता है, तब प्रकृतिकी क्रिया पुरुषका 'कर्म' बन जाती है; क्योंकि प्रकृतिके साथ सम्बन्ध माननेसे तादात्म्य हो जाता है। तादात्म्य होनेसे जो प्राकृत वस्तुएँ प्राप्त हैं, उनमें ममता होती है और उस ममताके कारण अप्रोप्त वस्तुओंकी कामना होती है। इस प्रकार जबतक कामना, ममता और तादात्म्य रहता है, तबतक जो कुछ परिवर्तनरूप क्रिया होती है, उसका नाम 'कर्म' है ।
