नाथ सम्प्रदाय भारत का एक हिंदू धार्मिक पन्थ है। मध्ययुग में उत्पन्न इस सम्प्रदाय में बौद्ध, शैव तथा योग की परम्पराओं का समन्वय दिखायी देता है। यह हठयोग की साधना पद्धति पर आधारित पंथ है। शिव इस सम्प्रदाय के प्रथम गुरु एवं आराध्य हैं। इसके अलावा इस सम्प्रदाय में अनेक गुरु हुए जिनमें गुरु मच्छिन्द्रनाथ /मत्स्येन्द्रनाथ तथा गुरु गोरखनाथ सर्वाधिक प्रसिद्ध हैं। नाथ सम्प्रदाय समस्त देश में बिखरा हुआ था। गुरु गोरखनाथ ने इस सम्प्रदाय के बिखराव और इस सम्प्रदाय की योग विद्याओं का एकत्रीकरण किया, अतः इसके संस्थापक गोरखनाथ माने जाते हैं। भारत में नाथ सम्प्रदाय को सन्यासी, नाथ योगी, जोगी, अवधूत, कौल, उपाध्याय (पश्चिम उत्तर प्रदेश में), कालबेलिया,गिरी,पुरी आदि नामों से जाना जाता है। इनके कुछ गुरुओं के शिष्य मुसलमान, जैन, सिख और बौद्ध धर्म के भी थे। इस पंथ के लोगो को शिव का वंशज माना जाता है ।
The Nath sect is a Hindu religious text in India. The syncretism of Buddhist, Shaivite and Yoga traditions is visible in this sect originating in the Middle Ages. It is a cult based on the cultivation method of Hatha Yoga. Shiva is the first guru and worshiper of this community. Apart from this, there were many gurus in this community, among which Guru Machindranath / Matsyendranath and Guru Gorakhnath are the most famous. The Nath sect was scattered throughout the country. Guru Gorakhnath disseminated this community and collected the yogic teachings of this community, hence its founder is considered Gorakhnath. In India, the Nath sect is known by the names Sanyasi, Nath Yogi, Jogi, Avadhoot, Kaul, Upadhyaya (in western Uttar Pradesh), Kalbeliya, Giri, Puri etc. Some of his gurus had disciples of Muslims, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhism. The people of this cult are considered to be descendants of Shiva.
