The Chandogyopanishad is under the Samavedi Talavakar Brahmana. Kenopanishad is also Talvakarshakhaki. That is why they both have the same peace text. This Upanishad is very important. Its description is very systematic and logical. In this, there is a very detailed and detailed description of Tattva Gyan and useful deeds and worships. Although nowadays, due to the disappearance of Upanishad Karma and Upasana, their nature and mystery are known only to a number of great scholars and thinkers, yet there is no doubt that on the basis of the sense and purpose which is inherent in their origin, the later Smart Karma and Puranic and Tantric worships have emerged.
According to the process of Advaita Vedanta, the living entity is covered by the three energies of avidya, they are called mala, vishaka and conduct. In these, the filth, that is, the filth of the conscience of the conscience, is extinguished by selfless action, that is, the destruction of the mind, that is, the destruction of the mind is done by worship, and the cover, that is, forgetfulness of the form or ignorance is destroyed by knowledge. Thus these are three different medicines for these three modes of finance. All three types of movements are done by these three. Successful people, having attained the heavenly worlds by the way, take birth again when their virtues diminish. Nishkamkarmis and worshipers attain Salokya, Samopya, Sarupya or Sayujya liberation by going to the world of their worshipers by the path of Archiradi. Both these movements are described in detail in the fifth chapter of this Upanishad. The philosophers who are different from these two do not have a reversal of their life (movement in the world). Their bodies get absorbed in their respective images here and they attain Kaivalyapada here.

छान्दोग्योपनिषद् सामवेदीय तलवकार ब्राह्मणके अन्तर्गत है। केनोपनिषद् भी तलवकारशाखाकी ही है। इसलिये इन दोनोंका एक ही शान्तिपाठ है। यह उपनिषद् बहुत ही महत्त्वपूर्ण है। इसकी वर्णनशैली अत्यन्त क्रमवद्ध और युक्तियुक्त है। इसमें तत्त्व ज्ञान और तदुपयोगी कर्म तथा उपासनाओका बड़ा विशद और विस्तृत वर्णन है । यद्यपि आजकल औपनिषद कर्म और उपासनाका प्रायः सर्वथा लोप हो जाने के कारण उनके स्वरूप और रहस्यका यथावत् ज्ञात इने-गिने प्रकाण्ड पण्डित और विचारकको ही है, तथापि इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि उनके मूलमें जो भाव और उद्देश्य निहित है उसीके आधारपर उनसे परवर्ती स्मार्त कर्म एवं पौराणिक और तान्त्रिक उपासनाओंका आविर्भाव हुआ है।
अद्वैतवेदान्तकी प्रक्रिया के अनुसार जीव अविद्याकी तीन शक्तियोंसे आवृत हैं, उन्हें मल, विक्षेप और आचरण कहते हैं । इनमें मल मर्थात् अन्तःकरणके मलिन संस्कारजनित दोषोकी निवृत्ति निष्काम कर्मसे होती है, विशेष अर्थात् चित्तचाञ्चल्यका नाश उपासनासे होता है और आवरण अर्थात् स्वरूपविस्मृति या अज्ञानका नाश ज्ञानसे होता है। इस प्रकार वित्तके इन त्रिविध दोपोंके लिये ये अलग-अलग तीन ओषधियाँ हैं। इन तीनोंके द्वारा तीन ही प्रकारकी गतियाँ होती हैं। सकामकर्मी लोग धूममार्गसे स्वर्गादि लोकोंको प्राप्त होकर पुण्य क्षीण होनेपर पुनः जन्म लेते हैं। निष्कामकर्मी और उपासक अर्चिरादि मार्गसे अपने उपास्यदेवके लोकमें जाकर अपने अधिकारानुसार सालोक्य, सामोप्य, सारूप्य या सायुज्य मुक्ति प्राप्त करते हैं। इन दोनों गतियोंका इस उपनिषद् के पाँचवें अध्यायमें विशदरूपसे वर्णन किया गया है। इन दोनोंसे अलग जो तत्त्वज्ञानी होते हैं उनके प्राणोंका उत्क्रमण ( लोकान्तर में गमन ) नहीं होता। उनके शरीर यहीं अपने-अपने तस्वोंमें लीन हो जाते हैं और उन्हें यहाँ ही कैवल्यपद प्राप्त होता है।
