That is why in the year 1909, Shriyukta Narasimha Chintamani Kelkar, a well-known patriot and calligrapher, had published the first few articles in this regard in fourteen issues in his letter Marathi Kesari and after making some changes in it and changing the articles according to less goodness, he got them printed as a book. The present book is a translation of that.

For example, it is written in the Bhagavata Purana that Krishna's Dwarka went to this sea. Most of the people did not believe in this incident. But ever since Sri S.R. Rath discovered it by drowning in the Arabian Sea, then the events described in the Puranas have started to be believed.

Every nation and caste has a history in which its rise and fall are accounted for. Through this history, a country or caste keeps itself safe from future evils. Thus history acts as a guide. Heroes like Abhimanyu and Shivaji were taught this since childhood. That is why a scholar named Koli states that History is the first thing that should be given to children in order to form their hearts and understanding. During the study, I came to know that in the published histories of Chahman Chauhan Chandel, Kalchuri Parmar, and Gurjar Pratihars, their imperial era has been discussed in detail, but their later history has been completely disregarded. The same fact came to the fore in relation to Pratihar Parihar, the first book to throw light on history, which was written by Shri Krishna Singh in V.C. [1956 11899 AD]. This book was published from Jodhpur. After that Munshi Devi Prasad published the book. It was printed from Granyapur in 1911 (1854 AD). As far as possible, scattered material related to the history and culture of Pratihars has been collected in the present book. We hope that scholars interested in Pratihar history and Sudhi readers will benefit from this.

इतिहास शब्द इति इह आसीत से बना है, जिसका अर्थ है ऐसा हुआ। कौटिल्य के अर्थशास्त्र में पुराण, इतिबूत, आख्यायिका, उदाहरण, धर्मशास्त्र और अर्थशास्त्र को इतिहास माना गया है। कालान्तर में इसमें महाभारत भी जोड़ दिया गया। इसी प्रकार प्राचीन भारत में महाभारत, पुराण, धर्मशास्त्र आदि के रूप में इतिहास को इतना सरल और रुचिकर बनाया गया था कि प्राया सभी लोग उपर्युक्त ग्रन्थों का न्यूनाधिक ज्ञान रखते थे। भारत में आज भी पुराण और महाभारत सुनने की परम्परा अनवरत रूप से प्रचलित है। सुधी जन भागवतपुराण आदि का वाचन रुचिपूर्वक सुनते हैं। कुछ समय पहले तक यह सन्देह व्यक्त किया जाता था कि पुराणों में वर्णित पटनाएं यहीं नहीं है। उदाहरण के लिए भागवतपुराण में लिखा है कि कृष्ण की द्वारका समुद्र में इस गई थी। इस घटना पर अधिकांश लोग विश्वास नहीं करते थे। किन्तु जब से श्री एस०आर० राथ ने अरब सागर में डूबी द्वारा खोज ली है, तब से पुराणों में वर्णित घटनाओं पर विश्वास किया जाने लगा है।

प्रत्येक देश और जाति का इतिहास होता है जिसमें उसके उत्कर्ष और अपक का लेखा-जोखा होता है। इसी इतिहास के माध्यम से कोई देश अथवा जाति भविष्य में आने वाली बुराइयों से स्वयं को सुरक्षित रखती है। इस प्रकार इतिहास पथ प्रदर्शक का काम करता है। अभिमन्यु और शिवाजी जैसे वीरों को बचपन से ही इसकी शिक्षा दी गई थी। इसीलिए कोली नामक विद्वान का कथन है कि History is the first thing that should be given to children in order to form their hearts and understanding"इतिहास में प्रारम्भ से ही मेरी रुचि रही है।  प्रतीहारों के इतिहास की विस्तृत जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए मेरी तीव्र लालसा जाग उठी। अध्ययन के दौरान मुझे ज्ञात हुआ कि चाहमान चौहान चन्देल, कलचुरि परमार और गुर्जर प्रतीहारों के जो इतिहास प्रकाशित हैं उनमें उनके साम्राज्यवादी युग की तो विस्तारपूर्वक चर्चा की गई है, किन्तु उनके परवर्ती इतिहास की पूर्णतया अवहेलना की गई है। गुर्जर प्रतिहारों के सम्बन्ध में भी यही तथ्य सामने आया प्रतीहार परिहार इतिहास पर प्रकाश डाल वाला पहला ग्रन्य मंश मास्कर है जिसे श्री कृष्णा सिंह ने वि० स० [1956 11899 ई०) में लिखा था। यह ग्रंथ जोधपुर से प्रकाशित हुआ। तत्पश्चात् मुंशी देवी प्रसाद ने प्रकाश की रचना की। यह ग्रन्यापुर से 1911 (1854 ई०) में छपा।जहाँ तक संभव हो सका है प्रस्तुत ग्रंथ में प्रतीहारों के इतिहास और संस्कृति सम्बन्धी बिखरी सामग्री एकत्र कर दी गई है। हमें आशा है कि प्रतीहार इतिहास में रुचि रखने वाले विद्वान और सुधी पाठक इससे लाभान्वित होंगे।Pratihar Rajputo Ka Itihas Pdf Download free, प्रतिहार राजपूतों का इतिहास पीडीऍफ़ डाउनलोड करें , Books By Singh, Ramlakhan, Singh, Ramlakhan की किताबें डाउनलोड करें , Pratihar Rajputo Ka Itihas book in hindi free download, प्रतिहार राजपूतों का इतिहासहिंदी में डाउनलोड करें फ्री

किसी देश की संस्कृति उस देश के इतिहास में सन्निहित रहती है । अतएव उस देश की सभ्यता तथा सस्कृति का अनुशीलन करने के लिए हमें उसका इतिहास जानना आवश्यक है। जब तक रोम और ग्रोस के पुरातन इतिहास का अध्ययन न किया जाय तब तक उसकी महत्ता का परिचय प्राप्त करना अत्यन्त कठिन है। ठीक यही दशा भारतवर्ष की भी है। यदि हमे अपने प्राचीन गौरव को जानना है तो हमे प्राचीन इतिहास पर दृष्टिपात करना नितान्त आवश्यक है ।

भारत में समय-समय पर अनेक साम्राज्य स्थापित हुए। वे उन्नति को पराकाष्ठा पर पहुंचे और अन्त मे काल के गाल में सदा के लिए विलीन हो गये। इन में कुछ ऐसे भी साम्राज्य हैं जिनका नाम केवल कथा-शेष रह गया है और जिनके अतुल वैभव तथा कला- कौशल की स्मृति वे खण्डहर दिलाते हैं जो समय के थपेडे को सहकर भी आज अपना सिर उठाये खड़े हैं। बिजयनगर का साम्राज्य इन्ही साम्राज्यों में से एक है। इस साम्राज्य की महत्ता क्या थी तथा इसको भारतीय इतिहास मे क्यो इतना महत्त्व दिया जाता है इसका वर्णन अगले पृष्ठों में पाठकों को मिलेगा । परन्तु यहा तो मुझे केवल इतना ही कहना है कि हिन्दू-साम्राज्य के प्रतिष्ठापक तथा हिन्दू-सस्कृति के रक्षक ये विजयनगर सम्राट न होते तो आज हमारी सस्कृति का नाम भी न रहता । सच तो यह है कि दक्षिण भारत में भारतीय संस्कृति को बचाने का श्रेय इन्हीं राजाओ को प्राप्त है।

यह अत्यन्त दुःख का विषय है कि आज से केवल पचास वर्ष पूर्व इन महाप्रतापी राजाओं का कोई नाम भी नहीं जानता था । भारतीय जनता इनको भूल चुकी थी और विजयनगर का महान् साम्राज्य 'एक भूला हुआ साम्राज्य' समझा जाने लगा था। इनकी पवित्र स्मृति को याद दिलान-- बाले हम्पी के वे टूटे-फूटे खण्डहर थे जो मृत्यु के मुख में जाने की प्रतीक्षा मे खड़े थे । परन्तु सर्व प्रथम इस महान् साम्राज्य के इतिहास की ओर ई० सेवेल नामक विद्वान् का ध्यान आकर्षित हुआ जिन्होंने अपनी सुप्रसिद्ध प्रामाणिक पुस्तक ए फारगाटेन इम्पायर' लिखकर इस साम्राज्य को प्रकाश में लाने का प्रशसनीय कार्य किया । सेवेल की पुस्तक का नामकरण यथार्थ ही था। सेवेल के पश्चात् दक्षिणी भारत के ऐतिहासिको का ध्यान इस ओर आकृष्ट हुआ और उन लोगो ने लगन के साथ इसका अध्ययन करना प्रारम्भ किया । इन विद्वानों मे डा. कृष्णस्वामी, डा. सालातोर तथा फादर हेरास का नाम उल्लेखनीय है । इन विद्वानो ने इस साम्राज्य के इतिहास पर प्रामाणिक पुस्तके लिखी हैं और इनकी शिष्य-मण्डली भी इस दिशा में सराहनीय कार्य कर रही है । परन्तु यह सचमुच हमारे दुर्भाग्य की बात है कि राष्ट्रभाषा हिन्दी में इस विषय पर एक भी पुस्तक अभी तक नही लिखी गई । विजयनगर का यह प्रस्तुत इतिहास इसी अभाव की पूर्ति करने का एक विनम्र प्रयास है इस ग्रन्थ मे विजयनगर साम्राज्य के राजनैतिक तथा सांस्कृतिक इतिहास का सक्षिप्त तथा प्रामाणिक विवेचन किया गया है ।

It flows in the northern tehsils of Vrindi, Hidoli, Gothda, Gadoli, after cutting the Pradavala hill near Khatkad, passing through Lakheri in the south and joining the Chambal river near Pali on the border of Kota-Vundi. Thus it has flowed 26 miles in this state. The main villages Alod, Dabalana, Vadgaon, Gudha, Khatkar, Varana, Dhaur Pachipla are settled on this.

The major tributaries of the table are the Sukli and Vegan. The Sukli (Magali) river flows through the hills of the south-west from Mewar and joins the Mej river near Bhaiskheda with the waters of the rivers Srir Ghoda, Pachad and Taleda (Tai). When it joins the Tai River, it becomes known as the Kural River. Karjuna, Chavaras, Bagda, Evra Shree Jaithal Shradh are the famous places on this.

The Bejin (Bhujan) river flows westwards from the Etoda hills of Mewar in Tehsil Hidoli, forming the border with Jaipur state, in Tehsil Mothanda and joins the Mej river near Bargaon (Vadgaon) at the confluence of Sedada. Gothda and Val are two wade villages on it.

बून्दी राज्य मे चम्बल की बडी सहायक नदी मेज है, जो मेवाड के पूर्वी भाग के १,७०० फुट ऊंचे पहाडो से निकल कर शामपुरा होती हुई नेगट के पान बूदी राज्य मे प्रवेश करती है। यह वृन्दी की उत्तरी तहसीलें हीडोली, गोठडा, गडोली मे बहती हुई प्राडावला पहाड को खटकड के पास काट कर, दक्षिण मे लाखेरी होती हुई कोटा-वून्दी की सीमा पर पाली के पास चम्बल नदी में जा मिली है। इस प्रकार यह इस राज्य मे २६ मील बही है। इस पर मुख्य गाव अलोद, दबलाना, वडगाव, गूढा, खटकड, वराणा, धौर पचीपला बसे हुए है |

मेज की बडी सहायक नदिया सूकली और वेजीन है । सूकली ( मागली ) नदी दक्षिण पश्चिम की पहाडियो मे होकर मेवाड की ओर से आती है श्रीर घोडा पछाड तथा तालेडा ( ताई ) की नदियों के पानी को लेकर भैसखेडा के पास मेज नदी मे मिल जाती है । ताई नदी से मिलकर यह कूरल नदी कहलाने लगती है। इस पर करजूणा, चावरस, बागदा, एवरा श्री जैथल श्रादि प्रसिद्ध स्थान हैं ।

Despite my wish that this book should be available to Hindi readers as soon as possible, there were many problems due to which it could not be possible. This book is not for an expert in Indian history. This is the reason why footnotes are not included in this and in their place a detailed village list has been given, which can be helpful to the person curious to study any particular aspect of Indian history. This book is for those people who have a general interest in history and who want to get acquainted with the major events of the early history of India.

This history begins with the Vedic culture, not because it is the starting point of Indian civilization, but because the Indian civilization, at its early stages, which began to be visible in the Dhadim historical and Harappan period, was the first in the books available to the Samaya reader. Only a few have been written (for example, B. Mar. Bhadrin gives the circle of age of Indian civilisation). This initial phase or brief mention is in the chapter 'Poonpeethina'. Europe's departure marks the beginning of a new era in history in India, and in the present book, the history of the time of his departure in this subcontinent has been given. That is why 1526 AD has been kept as the end. This is probably an auspicious date to conclude the book in the context of historical developments within the subcontinent, a process that began in the Sarmon primate era and continued into the following centuries.

यह इतिहास वैदिक संस्कृति के साथ प्रारम्भ होता है, इसलिए नहीं कि यह भारतीय सभ्यता का प्रारम्भ बिंदु है वरन् इसलिए कि भारतीय सभ्यता ने प्रारम्भिक चरणों पर, जो धादिम ऐतिहासिक और हडप्पा काल मे दष्टिगोचर होने लगे थे, सामाय पाठका को उपलब्ध भ पुस्तकों में पहले ही पाफी कुछ लिखा जा चुका है (उदाहरणाय, बी० मार० भाड्रिन वृत दें वय ऑॉफ इण्डियन सिविलिजेशन) | इस प्रारम्भिर चरण वा सक्षिप्त उल्लेख 'पूनपीठिना' वाले अध्याय मे है। यूरोपवासिया ने भागमन से भारत में इतिहास मे एन नवीन युग का सूत्रपात होता है, और प्रस्तुत पुस्तष मे इस उपमहाद्वीप में उनके द्यागमन के समय त का इतिहास दिया गया है। समाप्ति के रूप मे १५२६ ई० इसीलिए रखी गयी है। उपमहाद्वीप के भीतर ऐतिहासिक विकास के परिप्रेक्ष्य मे पुस्तक समाप्त करने के लिए यह सम्भवत एक प्रदचियर तिथि है, सर्मोन प्रथमतों युग में जो सिलसिला शुरू हुआ था वह परवतीं शताब्दियों मे जारी रहा।

The Jat people did not realize the need of history. Other castes paid full attention to this. Its fruit came to the fore. Those who respected history are respected by everyone today. Jats should think for themselves whether their place in the society has fallen due to neglect of history or no Who is in the public eye today in Bharatpur and Chittor? Chittor | Why ? That's why the people of Chittor got their works publicized by the barons, by the bhats, by the writers - got its history prepared. Chittor was climbed from Delhi side. It happened at Bharatpur also. But Chittor never went on climbing Dehli. Bharatpur merged Delhi in the nose. The thing that went to Delhi from Chittor, Bharatpur brought it home from Delhi. But Bharatpur did not keep any evidence (history) of these events and acts, nor did any expenditure for its publicit

Like the Jats, other nations do not want to remain ignorant of the benefits of history and did not live before. He has spent lakhs of rupees for this work. We have seen many histories of many small Rajput princely states, but not a single history of big and big princely states of Jat Others took great advantage of seeing such indifference to the history of the Jats. Somewhere he was written the son of Rajputs and somewhere Varnashankar. When foreign writers did not see any of their own history, many brought me so much that they even wrote rude and savage.s.y.t?

जाट-जाति का गौरव-सूर्य किसी समय खूब चमका था, उसका प्रत्येक व्यक्ति स्वाभिमानी और योद्धा था। उसके राज्य थे, रिसाले थे और भूमि थी । जहाँ उसे केवल खेत करके जीवन निर्वाह करते देखा जाता है तो कोई उसे वैश्य अनुमान करता है और कोई केवल किसान जाट । इस कथन के विरुद्ध कुछ कहने की इच्छा रखते हुए भी कह नहीं सकते हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने गौरव का अपने उच्च पद का कोई प्रमाण पत्र ( इतिहास ) सुरक्षित नहीं रक्खा | एक विदेशी • इतिहासकार ने लिखा है-जाटों से जब कहा जाता कि अपने स्मारक के लिए कोई समाधि, लेख व स्तूप खड़ा कीजिये तो वे कहते सद्गुगा ही सच्चा स्मारक है' । 'इस समय भी जाटों के अनेकों दिमागों में यही बात है। अभी पिलानी में जाट विद्यार्थी परिषद् में बोलते हुए एक पढ़े लिखे कहे जाने वाले जाट ने इसी बात को दुहराया था। उसके शब्दों का सार इस प्रकार है-"मैंने सुना है कोई सज्जन "जाट इतिहास" लिख रहे हैं, उससे तो अच्छा यह होता कि जितना रुपया इतिहास की छपाई में लगाया जायगा पिलानी में जाट बोर्डिंग हौस बनवा दिया जाता ।"

जाट लोगों ने इतिहास की आवश्यकता को अनुभव नहीं किया। दूसरी जातियों ने इस ओर पूरा ध्यान दिया। उसका फल सामने आया। जिन्होंने इतिहास की क़द्र की उनकी आज सब कद्र करते हैं। जाट अपने विषय में खुद सोच लें कि इतिहास की उपेक्षा करने के कारण समाज में उनका स्थान गिरा या नहीं ?

भरतपुर व चित्तौड़ में आज कौन लोक निगाह में चढ़ा हुआ है ? चित्तौड़ | क्यों ? इसीलिए कि चित्तौड़ के लोगों ने चारणों से, भाटों से, लेखकों से अपने कृत्यों का प्रचार कराया- उसका इतिहास तयार कराया। चित्तौड़ पर देहली की ओर से चढ़ाइयाँ हुईं। भरतपुर पर भी हुईं। किन्तु चित्तौड़ देहली पर चढ़ कर कभी नहीं गया। भरतपुर ने दिल्ली को नाक में मिला दिया। चित्तौड़ से जो वस्तु दिल्ली गई, भरत पुर उसे दिल्ली से घर ले आया। किन्तु भरतपुर ने इन घटनाओं और कृत्यों का कोई प्रमाण ( इतिहास ) नहीं रक्खा, न उसके प्रचार के लिए कुछ व्यय किया ।

जाटों के समान दूसरी क़ौमें इतिहास के लाभों से अनभिज्ञ नहीं रहना चाहतीं और न पहिले रहीं। उन्होंने इस काम के लिए लाखों रुपये व्यय किये हैं। हमने कई छोटी-छोटी राजपूत रियासतों के कई-कई इतिहास देखे हैं, किन्तु जाटों की बड़ी-बड़ी रियासतों का एक भी इतिहास नहीं मिला।

दूसरे लोगों ने जाटों के इतिहास के प्रति ऐसी उदासीनता देख कर खूब लाभ उठाया। कहीं उन्हें राजपूतों की औलाद लिखा तो कहीं वर्णशङ्कर । विदेशी लेखकों ने जब इनका कोई भी अपना इतिहास नहीं देखा, तो कई तो इतना मुझ लाये कि असभ्य और जंगली तक लिख गये ।
